French evening (dinner)

At Eko Centar Latinovac, it is customary to make an evening for each nationality present in Latinovac, organized by the people from the countries' origins. Thus, there was a Croatian evening, Spanish, Portuguese, Latvian, Greek and French. At the moment these lines are written, it remains the ultimate Arab evening.
And all of these were really cools :D

During these evenings dinners are held, followed by a presentation of the people organizing the evening. It is necessary to anticipate the meal beforehand, to prepare the order of the ingredients, to start the cooking at the beginning of the afternoon and finally to eat and to present his/her country in the evening. Of course, we must continue to respect the vegetarian and non-waste rules of Eko Centar.
The 21/11/18 took place the French evening, organized by Zineb, Yasmine and Simon.

Their provisional meal consisted of:
Opening : Champagne
Appetizer: Vegetarian little skewers tomato / cheese
Starter: Leek / zucchini quiche and mushroom quiche
Dish: Gratin potato / cauliflower
Dessert: Local tart "Pie with big breasts"
The table had to be prepared at best while respecting a certain Etiquette and combining a charm and a French elegance (I swear I'm not taking any advantage at all).

The protagonists started their cooking at 15:30 in a certain confusion, none of them being real geniuses of the kitchen. Fortunately, the volunteers and other people present did not let down our organizational team, and everyone offered their help (THANK YOU AGAIN, LOVE).

In the end, it's 5h of cooking and 10 people who took part in the preparation of the meal for an exceptional result (good from my point of view HAHA).

- "I twisted my ankle that morning and I dragged my paw everywhere to watch all the teams working hard for the meal while organizing at the same time meals and reception with Zineb and Yasmine. It was also a mixture of stress and stimulation that prepare all these dishes at the same time, manage the galleys, give "orders" to teams, manage cooking ingredients and tools. What an incredible feeling of relief and satisfaction was to unblock the first bottle of champagne and sit down to eat! Even if the result was not the expected one (but then not at all about the dessert SORRY ANCESTORS DO NOT BLAME ME), I think everyone enjoyed and the meal, and the atmosphere. "

Special thanks: Rafaela Katsioula and Liubitza. The first for her help from the beginning to the end and for her many brilliant ideas, who fought without mercy to allow the French dinner to reach an unimaginable level; and the second for saving all the dishes thanks to her exceptional skills and her incredible kindness. I do not know what we would have done without them. <3

Thank you to all the brave vegetable peelers who fought the infamous potatoes, zucchini and cauliflower. You made the world a better place.
And still sorry for the Bombur-Team: D I hope I can return the favour someday !
